Rotation:

This option will rotate the image left or right 90 degrees or flip the image 180 degrees.

Scaling:

This option will size the image for printing. The scaling may be preformed for letter, legal and 11"X17" sizes, while maintaining the original aspect ratio of the image.

De-Skewing:

When this option is activated, the contents of the image will be analyzed for horizontal lines of text or lines of drawings. The angle of the contents is determined and, if required, the image is de-skewed appropriately. This option is normally used when the images on a segment of film have been shot at an angle that is undesireable to the user.

Cropping:

This option removes black borders from the image.

Image Enhancement:

This option allows a per image adjustment of quality, where changes can be made based on the needs of the individual image rather than the group as a whole.

Indexing:

This option requires manual input of data into a text file for future addition to an existing database. This will allow the end-user the ability to locate particuliar images in a convenient fashion.

OCR Processing:

Optical Character Recognition allows the throughput of text defined images for conversion to a text-only format. Used frequently as an alternative to manual indexing, when the amount of data involved exceeds budget availability.
